Sam Bass Community Theatre (SBCT) has been offering quality live theater to the Round Rock/Georgetown/Austin area for over thirty five years. We offer a wide variety of theater during each season, with a careful eye towards providing a season that is well-balanced for all tastes. In addition to our regular theatrical offerings, we provide ongoing theater education through our Director's Workshop and our Youth Guild Summer Camp Programs.

SBCT is a non-profit organization, run completely by volunteers. We present 6 to 7 productions annually which includes our four mainstage productions and a mix of spotlight productions with shorter runs.

History

Our perfomance space,The Old Depot Stage, was actually the original Depot building for the Union Pacific Railroad that ran through Round Rock, Texas. Originally the building was about half its current size. In 1981, The Old Depot Stage became our home and in 1984 it was moved to the present location at 600 Lee Street in Memorial Park in Round Rock. Major renovation was needed to turn the Old Depot into the performance space it is today; and as we continue to grow, so does the theatre. You can find driving directions and a map on our Contact Us page.
